Our Story

Studio on Brunswick began as a personal solution to a creative problem.

Founder and artist Lyne Tilt couldn’t find a space that felt right—somewhere warm, professional, and purpose-built for independent artists who wanted to do things differently. So she created one.

What started as a hybrid of her private studio and a cozy space for intimate workshops gradually became something more. A place not just to create, but to grow—in artistic skill, business confidence, and self-belief. A place where artists could share their work with real people, run their own events, and bring joy to their communities through hands-on experiences. All without the pressure of fitting into the gallery system, wholesaler networks, or outdated expectations.

From the beginning, Studio on Brunswick was never meant to be just a gallery, just a workshop venue, or just a community space. It was—and still is—something uniquely its own: a creative ecosystem where independence is nurtured, strategy meets soul, and artistic freedom is celebrated.

Now in our fifth year and having worked with over 1,000 artists, we’ve expanded our vision while staying true to our roots.

We still call our beautiful upstairs studio home—tucked away like a creative oasis in the heritage Carroll Building. But we’ve also grown into a second space: a boutique-style gallery in the heart of vibrant California Lane, where the art meets the street, and community comes to life.

At Studio on Brunswick, we believe you don’t have to choose between being an artist and being empowered. You can have both—and we’re here to help you build it.
