A Six-Month Mentoring Experience for Independent and Emerging Artists
Clarity. Confidence. Momentum.
The Artist Momentum Collective is a six-month mentoring experience designed to help independent and emerging artists build real momentum in their creative lives.
At Studio on Brunswick, we see artists operating across three interconnected dimensions:
Art Life
Your studio practice, creative direction and the work you are making.
Art Business
How you position, present and financially support your work in the world.
Alignment with Self
Your mindset, confidence, personal values and the decisions you make about your creative life.
When these three areas support each other, artists move forward with far greater clarity and confidence.
When they don’t, artists often feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to focus.
The Artist Momentum Collective is designed to help you bring these areas into alignment so you can make stronger decisions about your practice, your business, and your future as an artist.
A Mentoring Experience Designed for Real Artists
The program is facilitated by Lyne Tilt, founder of Studio on Brunswick.
Lyne brings more than 20 years of experience as a professional educator, with a background in wellbeing, psychology and neuroscience, alongside extensive experience mentoring artists and creative entrepreneurs.
This means the program goes far beyond generic business advice.
Instead, the mentoring process combines:
• strategic thinking
• psychological insight
• real-world art industry experience
• personalised guidance
The result is a mentoring experience that adapts to the individual needs of the artists in the room, rather than forcing everyone into the same formula.
Because the truth is simple:
There is no one-size-fits-all model for building an art life.
But there are patterns, insights and strategies that successful artists learn to apply in ways that work for them.
A Collective of Artists at Different Stages
The Artist Momentum Collective brings together artists from different stages of their creative lives - including early, mid-career and more established practitioners.
This creates a rich learning environment where artists gain:
• exposure to different approaches to building an art life
• insight into challenges faced at different stages of practice
• the support and perspective of a thoughtful peer group
One of the most powerful parts of the program is simply being exposed to how other artists are solving similar challenges in different ways.
Designed Around the Needs of the Artists
Before the program begins, participants will complete a short survey.
This helps identify:
• areas of strength in your art life
• areas that feel challenging
• the goals and questions you are bringing into the program
This allows the mentoring process to be informed by the needs of the group while still drawing on the key frameworks that artists most often need.
What We Explore in the Program
Across the program we explore many of the topics artists regularly encounter, including:
• defining your vision and direction as an artist
• clarifying your personal definition of success
• setting meaningful short-term and long-term goals
• developing a clear artist statement and messaging
• presenting and positioning your work professionally
• tracking artworks and maintaining studio records
• financial awareness and setting financial goals
• navigating imposter syndrome and creative confidence
• building a sustainable studio rhythm
• making confident decisions about what to focus on next
We also explore practical areas such as:
• using social media strategically
• how websites and email lists support visibility
• communicating your work clearly to audiences and collectors
• building a recognisable artist presence
But most importantly, we explore the real story behind these topics.
Artists who build sustainable creative lives eventually discover something important:
There is no single “correct” path.
Instead, successful artists learn how to:
• make confident decisions
• choose what truly matters for their work
• build systems and approaches that suit their own creative life
The Artist Momentum Collective is designed to help you develop that clarity for yourself.
The Transformation
By the end of the program, artists typically experience:
• greater clarity about their direction as an artist
• stronger confidence in their decisions
• a deeper understanding of how their art life, business and personal values connect
Participants leave with more intentional choices about:
• what to focus on in the studio
• how to present their work
• how to grow visibility and audience
• how to make financial decisions within their practice
In short, artists leave the program with greater momentum and a clearer path forward.
