Tara Lorel Stower
AFFILIATE ARTIST
I believe that art is a way of noticing—the small details, the fleeting moments, and thequiet beauty around us.
Creating is how I connect: with nature, with others, and with myself. Each painting invites a pause—a chance to slow down and engage with the world.
I am a self-taught artist working primarily in oils, acrylics, and watercolour, creating delicate, intricate depictions of birdlife, botanicals, sky, land, and seascapes.
My work moves between realism and gentle abstraction, exploring mood, movement, and the emotional resonance of natural forms.
Interestingly, my style echoes that of my great-great-grandmother, Nanna, who passed away when I was very young.
My father recognised the resemblance when he saw my early paintings—I paint naturally and intuitively, in a style that seems to have been passed downthrough generations.
Based in Sunrise Beach, Noosa, I continue to grow through practice, collaboration, learning, and engaging with the world around me.
With a background in facilitation, I also lead workshops, sharing techniques and encouraging beginners to explore various mediums.
I believe art can be a powerful form of therapy—it’s about the journey, as much as the creation itself.
As an artist, my work is guided by mimesis—reflecting my observations, interpretations, and stories. Each piece is a quiet offering: a way to share what I see, feel, and love.
