Molly Galpin

Based on Bribie Island, I have spent more than 30 years exploring a diverse range of creative practices, including sewing, leadlighting, mosaic, mixed media and acrylic painting. My work has been exhibited throughout the region and reflects a long-standing passion for repurposing materials and transforming everyday objects into imaginative and distinctive artworks.

Over the years, I have been honoured to receive awards at a number of art exhibitions and have established a recognised presence within the local arts community. Inspired by the possibilities of recycled and found materials, I continue to explore new techniques and creative approaches, producing works that celebrate both craftsmanship and innovation.

ARTIST STATEMENT

“My work explores the creative potential of discarded and overlooked materials. By combining found objects, papier-mâché and paint, I transform everyday items into whimsical sculptures and decorative pieces that celebrate imagination, sustainability and playfulness. I am drawn to the stories hidden within ordinary objects and enjoy creating works that invite curiosity, spark conversation and bring a sense of joy.”
